Dry Spell. Sat on the beach. Could barely fly the kite. Yelled profanities south. Still happy to be at the beach, though.

Friday, 4 September 2009

Winds: SE 12-15. Waves: waist high in spots. Water: clear all the way out and gorgeous. Figured out how to coax mean upwind with 16m Crossbow. Winds a little gusty to the low side, but stayed on until we were exhausted. First "kitesurfing" session of the season. Forgot how tiring waves are.

Saturday, 29 August 2009

Winds: SW 8-11. Waves: flat. Water: clear all the way out. Still getting used to the 16m. Had great downwind tacks in beginning of day. Most of day waiting for north storms to give the wind back. Burst of wind near sunset. Good jumps logged. Jesse landed first backroll.

Friday, 28 August 2009

Winds: SW 7-11. First use of Cabrinha Crossbow 2010 16m. Strings still need adjustment and wasn't getting much power to ride consistently. Waves: flat. Water: clear all the way out. I need more wind... This month was very dry.

Tuesday, 11 August 2009

Winds: WSW 11-17. Forecast near light and variable. Got a little gusty near sunset. 17m. Waves: flat except for a few calf high on sandbar. Water: clear near shoreline, heavy patches of salad on bottom far out. Session was good for the soul. Too many days since last time. Stuck almost all landings. Replaced bridle line on 17m. Flies a little better now.

Sunday, 9 August 2009

No good conditions since last entry. Lot of thunderstorms and unstable air. Getting anxious for a good day out there

Sunday, 2 August 2009

Winds: SW 13-18 Clean until storm started up NW of spot. Stayed on until sunset, odd. 17m. Waves: flat, occasional knee high. Water: spoiled salad near shore, green murk all the way out. 11m broke Chicken line while friend trained. Tried out new paddleboard. I should stick to the sound for a while with that. No fisherman today!
